Each of the chapters selected will be establishing a sustainable food project that can have a lasting impact on a local food bank.
• The Henry County and Southwestern Pulaski FFA chapter’s will be raising laying hens and donating eggs to local food banks. Each of these FFA chapters also have plans to help transition some of the hens to student’s homes, creating Supervised Agricultural Experience opportunities for members.
Lilly Golden and the Community Service Committee have big plans to fight local hunger needs and now they have $1,000 to work with. Looks like we are going into the poultry business!
