Teachers Honored for Excellence in Teaching

Rose has taught first grade at Campbellsburg Elementary School since 2007. She received her degree in elementary education from Eastern Kentucky University in 2006. From the University of the Cumberlands, she received her master of arts in 2009 and her Rank I in 2011. She is a 2002 graduate of Pulaski County High School, the daughter of Patty and Richard Hibbs of Somerset, and is married to Brandon Rose.

Wright has taught seventh and eighth grade English at Henry County Middle School since 2012. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Kentucky in 2012. From the University of the Cumberlands, she received her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2014 and her educational specialist degree in 2020. She is a 2007 graduate of Henry County High School, is married to Matt Wright and they have two children: Greyson and Graham Wright.

Shearer teaches engineering at Henry County High School. He formerly taught at Wayne Central in New York’s Wayne county school district. He received his bachelor’s degree from Oswego State University in 2001. He received his master’s degree from Campbellsville University in 2016, and earned his residential construction degree from the State University of New York at Morrisville. He is a 1991 graduate of Clayton A. Bouton High School of Voorheesville, N.Y., the son of Judith and Douglas Shearer, is married to Melissa Shearer and they have two children: Ian and Aubrey Shearer.
