The new assistant principal at Henry County High School is Kevin Webster. Webster began his teaching career at Owen County High School as a special education teacher in 2000 and most recently served as a social studies teacher and Response to Intervention (RTI) coordinator.
Webster holds a bachelor’s degree from Centre College, a master’s degree in education from Union College and completed his principalship program from the University of the Cumberlands. At Owen County, he has served as the boys golf coach, civics club sponsor, head baseball coach and assistant coach to the baseball and basketball teams.
Webster said he looks forward to making a positive contribution to Henry County High School and the community.
“As a teacher and future leader, my personal philosophy has always been to make kids think and grow, both personally and educationally,” Webster said. “My personal vision is that all students will leave my classroom or school knowing more than when they came to me, able to think for themselves and form justifiable and defendable opinions, to be better people, to discover success, have the opportunity to lead, and to be better citizens so our community is a better place to live.”
