Language Arts, social studies, math, science, arts and humanities and quick recall. What do all of these have in common? These are the subjects the Henry County Academic Team test in during matches. The team consists of 15 members that are very dedicated. They are lead by sponsors Ms. McClure and Ms. Wells. Their record is 4-3. Their top scorer in both testing and quick recall is Senior Billy Kelley.
Their season is over but they have districts coming up when they will host Carroll and Trimble County. Now that break is over and districts are close they will begin to practice again.
One new thing that Henry County Academic Team is bringing back is Future Problem Solving. Ms. McClure says Henry County has not had problem solving in a couple years and everyone is really excited to have it back. It's something they are looking forward to.
Everyone in Henry County is very proud of the Academic Team and wishes them good luck later this month at districts.
GOOD LUCK!! |
