Mrs. Staci R. Hoene has been named Interim Principal at New Castle Elementary School for the 2012-2013 school year. Staci begins her eighteenth year in public education. For the past three years, she has served as the assistant principal at Henry County Middle School. She is an experienced educator who makes decisions based on her core beliefs of student-centered learning, using data to drive instruction, and creating a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the social, emotional and academic safety of all students/faculty/staff.
Staci completed her undergraduate degree at Campbellsville (College) University with a degree in middle school education concentrating on language arts and social studies. She earned her Master’s in Instructional Technology from the University of Louisville where she also received her Rank I in Instructional Leadership. Staci began her teacher career at Henry County Middle School in 1995 where she taught Language Arts for two years. She spent eight years teaching language arts and social studies at North Oldham Middle and High School in Goshen, Kentucky. Before returning to Henry County in 2009, Staci was a Student Achievement Consultant with the neighboring Shelby County Public School system. Staci has been happily married to her husband, Chad, for ten years. They have a beautiful four-year-old son, Logan.
Staci is excited about the opportunity to continue the strong traditions on which New Castle Elementary was built.
She looks forward to learning more about the community that New Castle Elementary serves while partnering with the teachers and parents to ensure a successful school year for all.
