Registration Procedures

New Students

Students who will be attending the same school as the prior year, or have been promoted to the middle or high school will receive registration information on the first day of school. The first page of the enrollment form will be prefilled and should be verified as correct. The second page must be completed each year.

Students who are transferring from one Henry County Public School elementary to another should call the Central Office at 845-8600 for further instructions.

Anyone with a 3 or 4-year-old interested in Head Start or preschool please call the Central Office at 845-8600.

Attendance Policy:
Kentucky state law says; “Any child who has been absent from school without valid excuse for more than three (3) days, or tardy on more than three (3) days is a truant.” Parents/guardians will receive a letter from the school after three (3) unexcused absences/tardies, and then again after a total of six (6). If your child accumulates six (6) unexcused absences/tardies, the district Pupil Personnel Director will be notified. It is very important that you send in a dated parent or doctor’s note when your child returns to school after being absent.
