Henry County Doggie Days

The group has been successful in raising awareness for the cause by using social media to its full advantage. Over the past couple of months, the group has compiled over 200 followers on twitter including Animal Planet’s, Andrea Arden. Along with the social media influence, the group also hosted a donation drive at all Henry County elementary schools where they were able to get 143 items that will be donated to the animal shelter such as dog food and other items that the animal shelter can put to use. At the adoption drive at the Public Library, the group had a day full of dog walking, bake sales, and face painting. The group was able to get two dogs adopted and 5 dogs from the animal shelter sponsored, which adds up to about $300. In addition to the money already raised, the group will be auctioning off four dog houses at Burger Bash on May 6th. The group appreciates all that was donated and all who have made this possible.
