Kelly Hall Selected as HCPS Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Kelly Hall for earning HCPS Teacher of the Year!   Kelly’s passion for teaching is evident the minute you walk in her classroom.   The outstanding instructional strategies she implements in her classroom each day is coupled with a genuine love and high expectations for each student.  Kelly will receive $500 to purchase classroom materials or to attend an educational conference of her choosing. 

HCPS has outstanding teachers throughout our district,  the teacher of the year program is opportunity to recognize a few of them.  Each school nominated an outstanding teacher as their teacher of the year.  For Campbellsburg Elementary – CarmaRita Stovall was selected as Teacher of the Year.  CarmaRita teaches 4th grade and has been with the district for seven years.  Sarah Lyons was selected as teacher of the year at Henry County Middle School.  Sarah is a Special Education Teacher and has been with the district for seven years.  Amy Johnson was selected as teacher of the year at the Early Childhood Center.  Amy is a preschool teacher and has been with the district for 16 years.  Angie Denny was selected as teacher of the year at Eastern Elementary.  Angie is a Special Education Teacher and has been with the district for 10 years.  Russell Cooper was selected as teacher of the year  at Henry County High School.  Russell teaches vocal music at both the high an middle school and leads the theatre program and has been with the district for 9 years.  Kelly Hall was selected as teacher at New Castle Elementary.  Kelly teaches 2nd grade and has been with the district for 10 years.
